Battery plugged-in, but not charging??

29 Aug
Hi Chums,
I had a problem with my laptop a week ago. It wasn’t turning ON without the charger. I thought it was due to low battery. So I connected to charger and turned it ON. Tt was working good. But to my surprise, it wasn’t charging. It was stuck to 2%. When I remove the charger, it gets turned off.I thought I will have to replace my battery now. But there’s a simple solution to this.

You don’t need to buy anything to fix this.
Just follow these simple steps:
1. Turn the laptop off.
2. Unplug the charger (AC power).
3. Remove the battery. (Hope you know this.. else google “laptop battery removal”)
4. Plug in the AC power.
5. Turn on laptop, allow OS to boot.
6. Once logged in to the machine, perform a normal shut down.
7. Unplug AC power.
8. Replace battery.
9. Replace AC power.
10.Turn on laptop, allow OS to boot.Thats it, your battery should be charging well and good now!

Note:
If you are a windows7 user(anywayz first try the above one!) Try this:
1. Unplug AC adapter.
2. Shut-down the laptop.
3. Remove the battery, Connect AC Adapter
4. Start windows7. Remove Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery
5. Shutdown, Remove AC Adapter, Install battery, Reattach AC Adapter.
6. Turn on laptop, allow OS to boot.
Done!!
Please leave a reply if it works!
