Say Sorry to ‘Worry’!

What can be a very good example t0 a Silent-Killer…..???
The answer to this question should surely be …”Worry”.

What could be worse than a horror movie not reaching its climax? Worry is very much similar to this. Our thoughts roam around a particular point however far we try to travel.

So, from now on, when you think of worrying.. please remember its destructive effects on your health and your life. Sometimes we experience a sense of intoxication or dooming kind of feeling, which is due to too much of worry and anxiety. Thinking the negative effects of the present, past and the future leads to worry.

The people who keep consistently thinking of the negative aspects of life, and consistently focus on only the bad times of their life, end up with losing the capacity to face the challenges of life. They are just closing their eyes towards the brighter side of life. They forget to (or just don’t want to ) see the positivity!

What the Holy Books Say of Worry?

Quran:

• (Quran 2: 152 ): “Therefore, remember me (by praying, glorifying, etc.). I will remember you, and be grateful to Me (for My countless Favors on you) and never be ungrateful to Me.”
  That means, if you trust him (god), and stop worrying and pray him(god), he will surely solve it.

• (Quran 14: 7 ): “..if you are grateful, I will add more favors unto you.”
  If you are good in your deeds, then you never need to worry, as he (god) will support you for sure.

• Prayer to relieve depression and anxiety:
  

  “Allaahumma innee ‘abduka wa ibn ‘abdika wa ibn amatika, naasiyati bi yadika, maadin fiyya hukmuka, ‘adlun fiyya qadaa’uka, as’aluka bi kulli ismin huwa laka sammayta bihi nafsaka aw anzaltahu fi kitaabika aw ‘allamtahu ahadan min khalqika aw ista’tharta bihi fi ‘ilm il-ghaybi ‘andak an taj’ala al-Qur’aana rabee’ qalbi wa noor sadri wa jalaa’a huzni wa dhahaaba hammi”

  O Allaah, I am Your slave, son of Your slave, son of your female slave, my forelock is in Your hand, Your command over me is forever executed and Your decree over me is just. I ask You by every Name belonging to You which You named Yourself with, or revealed in Your Book, or You taught to any of Your creation, or You have preserved in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Qur’aan the life of my heart and the light of my breast, and a departure for my sorrow and a release for my anxiety

There are millions of quotes that resemble the above verses in Quran!!!!

Bible:

• (Phillipines 4: 6-7 ): “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus”

• (Hebrews 13: 6 ) “So we say with confidence, ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?”

• (Psalm 34: 4 ) “I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears”

There are millions of quotes that resemble the above verses in Bible!!!!

Not only them, almost all the holy books say this.

So, Stop worrying. Trust your god.. Trust in whatever you do.. And believe that there is no need of worry in our life.
Question yourself the use of worry. The answer will show you the way!!!!!

The Giant “Goliath” vs. An ordinary “David”

Hi Chum, Let me tell me a short story of David and Goliath. Then tell me what you learnt from it!

Goliath- A Nine feet giant of Philistine

David- A young shepherd of Israel, the youngest son of Jesse

…It was a war between Israel and Philistine. The armies faced each other for battle, on the opposite sides of the steep valley. Israel had to face the Giant Nine feet tall Goliath of Philistine. The whole army and even Saul,the then King of Israel was terrified of him.

But surprisingly, there was a volunteer from Israel willing to fight again Goliath. He was David. A young shepherd. The king had to finally agree to him and sent him to the war against Goliath.

David just went to the war, without any sword or armor. He just had the shepherds tools i.e., the slingshot and a pouch of stones. But the biggest weapon he had was his trust in Lord Almighty.

Goliath took it as fun and moved forward to kill him. David reached his bag, slung one of his stones onto Goliath’s head. The stone, finding a hole in the armor of Goliath and sunk into his forehead. The monster fell face down on the ground. This weakened the Philistines and led to Israels victory.

The story has something to say :

While the whole army looked at the giant as a big unbeatable demon, David looked at Goliath at a different perspective that he was just another mortal human defying the Almighty God.

Hence, if we look at the giant problems from David’s point of view, we will realize that god is with us and he will fight for us. The only thing we need to do is trust him and just put in our efforts with confidence.
